Start here. The essentials.

Who it is.META owns Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger; more than three billion people open at least one of them every day. The business model is stark: it sells that attention to advertisers, and advertising accounts for over ninety per cent of revenue. That structure keeps gross margin around eighty per cent year after year — a rare number at this size.

Its temper.META's share price is unusually sensitive to spending. In 2022 it poured money into the metaverse, the market refused to follow, and the stock fell about seventy per cent in a year; once it announced cost discipline, it climbed back within another year. From 2025 the focus shifted to AI capital expenditure, and the script rhymes: the market waits for results while watching how fast the cash burns. So its drawdowns often aren't about the business deteriorating — they're about the market changing its mind on whether the spending is worth it.

A new variable. In 2026 META launched Muse, a personal AI agent. It isn’t a chatbot — it runs in its own secure environment and actually does the work, connecting to email, calendar, payments and shopping to book plans, fill in forms and buy things outright. Two things matter for investors. First, the AI spending finally has a visible product attached, so the market has something to judge. Second, Muse is sold by subscription — the first time revenue outside advertising has had real scale potential here. It is also a trust test: using it means handing META more personal data than the social era ever asked for.

So let the tool decide.A steady business with violent sentiment is the combination that most often makes people stop buying exactly when the bad news is thickest — which is frequently when returns are best. Rather than judge whether the market's doubts are reasonable, hand the call to DCA Score. It reads only price position, drawdown depth, buying strength and market fear: low score, keep the original pace; a higher one scales the add-on up.

One thing to know.META has traded at a lower multiple than most of its technology peers for years, so the valuation factor rarely flashes red here. When you read META's DCA Score, drawdown depth and position against the 200-week average usually carry more information than the valuation line. It only began paying a dividend in 2024, and the yield is tiny, so the return comes almost entirely from price.

Every moment worth adding

See it for yourself.

Ten years of META price with the DCA Score line on top — at a glance you can see how far it has run, and how many times the market has knocked it down along the way. Both lines are already stacked for you.

For a closer look, tap “hot zones” to bring up the add-on bands. Every lit band is a moment the score said “you could buy a little more” — the darker the colour, the rarer that spot.

Then use 10 / 5 / 3 / 1 year above to pull back across the whole cycle or zoom into the recent stretch. Price shows you the moves; the score shows you the timing.

Good question

What most people ask.

No. DCAcafé is a data tool that helps you think through the timing and sizing of investing in META; every decision is your own. Past performance doesn’t indicate future results.

META’s price and RSI come from Yahoo Finance’s public API, VIX from CBOE, and valuation from public financial filings. Data is refreshed once daily.

When META’s DCA Score reaches 60 or above, the system computes an amount beyond your base budget. The higher the score, the higher the matching cap — up to 1.8× the base. It’s the system’s cap for the period, not a rule; you can adjust it yourself.

Because market conditions change. Each time, the system re-reads META’s RSI, drawdown and VIX to compute it. That’s the whole point: let the amount follow the market, not the other way around.
